Oxygen toxicity
The adverse effects of breathing too much oxygen at pressure.
Oxygen toxicity refers to harm from excessive oxygen exposure. Its two forms are CNS toxicity (rarely, seizures at high pressure) and pulmonary toxicity (lung irritation from prolonged exposure). Protocols limit dose and use air breaks to prevent it.
