HIF-1α
A cellular oxygen-sensing protein involved in healing signals.
HIF-1α (hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha) is a protein cells use to sense and respond to oxygen levels. The oxygen swings created by HBOT influence HIF-related signaling, part of how intermittent hyperoxia paradoxically promotes repair.
