Angiogenesis
The growth of new blood vessels — a key long-term effect of HBOT.
Angiogenesis is the formation of new blood vessels from existing ones. Repeated hyperbaric sessions stimulate angiogenesis in oxygen-starved tissue, durably improving its blood supply — the basis of HBOT's benefit in radiation injury and chronic wounds.
