ATA

Atmospheres Absolute — the unit of pressure used in hyperbaric medicine.

ATA stands for atmospheres absolute, the standard unit for chamber pressure. 1 ATA is normal pressure at sea level. Clinical hyperbaric treatment typically runs at 2.0–2.8 ATA, meaning two to nearly three times sea-level pressure — equivalent to descending 33–60 feet underwater.
