Clinical HBOT uses monoplace (single-patient, 100% oxygen) or multiplace (walk-in room, air-pressurized with oxygen by hood) chambers reaching 2.0–3.0 ATA. Soft-sided "mild" chambers reach only ~1.3 ATA on air — a fraction of the clinical dose and a different product entirely. Know which one your business model needs.

Budget beyond the chamber: installation, a compatible oxygen supply, staffing (trained technicians, physician supervision), accreditation, insurance, and space. Break-even depends on session volume and payer mix. Model it honestly before committing — recognized-indication reimbursement is the backbone of a viable clinic.

Fire safety is paramount — nothing flammable enters the chamber (NFPA 99 standards). UHMS accreditation signals quality and supports payer relationships. Physician oversight and trained technicians aren't optional extras; they're the standard of care and the basis of coverage. Cutting these corners is how clinics get into trouble.
